Adopt a Tree - Science Inquiry Lesson
Who lives in this tree? Students adopt a special tree to investigate carefully. Encourage students to look deeply and think carefully about the animals that call their tree home. Students look for clues like scratches, marks on the bark and holes to identify the importance of their tree to other animals. Listen to the sounds of the tree, take rubbings of the bark and think about why your tree is special.
